Senzafine, launched by A.A.G. Stucchi and available through us in Dubai from January 2019, is a modular linear light that sits inside MULTISYSTEM track. Modules of different lengths fit end to end in the track and hold on magnetically, so a run of track becomes an unbroken line of light.

How Senzafine works

The idea is in the name: senza fine is Italian for "without end". Instead of a linear luminaire hung under the track, the light module goes into the track itself. Each module is an aluminium body carrying the LED board, with the optic underneath and two track adaptors on top, and modules clamp into the track magnetically. Because the lengths can be mixed, a run can be filled to suit the room rather than the other way round.

Opal or UGR < 19 optics

At launch Stucchi offered two optics. The opal diffuser gives an even, soft line for circulation areas and retail. The UGR < 19 version adds a louvre-style reflector between the LEDs and the cover to control glare, which is what an office or a workspace with screens needs.

Real flux is the output of the finished module after the optic, which is the figure to use in a lighting calculation, not the rating of the bare LEDs.

Senzafine today

Senzafine is still in Stucchi's catalogue, now as 48 V modules and a much larger family. The CORE11 M22-C line, for 9600C CORE11 track, comes in lengths from 98 mm to 1405 mm with lens, UGR, opal, microprismatic, fumé and wall washer optics. Two examples from the product data, both 1125 mm at 3000 K:

There are also Senzafine EVO modules for the 9500 EVO track (the range that carries the MULTISYSTEM name today) and Senzafine Micro for the 9600 micro track. Stucchi's Senzafine catalogue lists them all.

Planning a Senzafine line

Start from the run length and the task: opal for ambient, UGR for desks. The modules are listed under track fixtures; send us the layout and we will work out the module mix and the feeds.
