In April 2019 we started promoting the SDKF from Electro Terminal (previously Tridonic) as an all-round screwless connector for professional electrical work. It joins solid, rigid stranded and flexible wires from 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² in one housing, and we offered it as an alternative to the WAGO 222 lever connectors most installers already knew.

One connector for every wire type
Lighting installations mix wire types all the time: solid mains cable from the wall, flexible tails from the luminaire or driver, and thin conductors from LED strip. The SDKF takes all three, and different cross sections can be combined in the same terminal. The pull-out forces are high, so a joint stays made once the lever is closed.
How it is wired

- Solid wire pushes straight in, with no need to open the lever.
- Flexible wire needs the clamping lever opened, the wire inserted, and the lever closed fully.
- Strip gauge moulded on the housing shows the stripping length, 9 to 10 mm.
- Control window lets you see that each wire is stripped correctly and pushed fully home.
- Test points on every wire position let you check for voltage at each conductor, not just one per connector.
