In November 2024 we exhibited at Light Middle East, on stand Z3 D21 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The stand covered all three sides of the business: our own luminaires, Helvar components including the Freedom wireless range, and 48 V track from AAG Stucchi, plus connectors from Electro Terminal. This is what was on it.

Our own luminaires: ALGO, ALENA and COB.flex

ALGO is our most flexible track spot. It runs on 48 V MULTISYSTEM EVO track and mains ONETRACK, with surface and recessed versions too, and takes honeycombs, cover lenses, barn doors, and fixed or zoom lenses. The accessory table on the stand is the cover photo above.

ALENA is a modular downlight family with more than 41 configurations per wattage, from 6 W to 30 W single and 60 W double. It uses a UGR < 16 reflector with honeycomb, a die-cast aluminium heatsink and Helvar control gear.

COB.flex is our dot-free COB strip: 24 V, CRI over 90, IP20 to IP68, from 5 to 17 W/m, with tunable white and neon versions, dimmable with Helvar DALI drivers.

Helvar Freedom: wireless without picking an ecosystem first

Freedom is Helvar's wireless component platform. The driver, the radio and the sensor are separate parts: a Freedom LED driver, a Freedom Node that holds the wireless control software (Casambi, Mymesh or Pulse Systems, among others), and the Freedom Sense luminaire sensor with PIR and daylight sensing. A luminaire maker can build one fitting and choose the wireless system per project by changing the Node. On the stand we had the LC27MINI-FD-150-1050, a 27 W Freedom driver, and the LC50iC-FD-100-1200, a 50 W tunable white Freedom driver.

DALI-2 drivers, large and very small

The LC12TINY-DA-180-700 was billed as the world's smallest DALI-2 LED driver: 12 W, dimming from 1 % to 100 %, small enough for compact downlights and spots. Alongside it were the LC27MINI and LC43MINI-DA-150-1050 for loads up to 27 W and 43 W on a single driver, Helvar's tunable white drivers and modules, and constant voltage DALI-2 drivers for smooth dimming of cove lighting.

48 V track: curves, KOMPO and CORE5

The track side of the stand was AAG Stucchi. Curved track showed how ONETRACK, EVO and micro sections bend round ceilings and walls.

KOMPO uses multilevel connection joints to link MULTISYSTEM EVO tracks horizontally and vertically, on two heights, so the track becomes a three-dimensional structure carrying spots, linear modules and indirect light.

CORE5 was the newest system on the stand, shown as a preview: a very small track with a 5 mm opening, for places where there is little room to install anything. We also showed Senzafine Twist linear luminaires on track, including the Senzafine EVO Twist Cross T30C, and the L32 linear system.

Electro Terminal connectors

The last corner covered connection hardware: the SLK 8 screwless luminaire connector with a Casambi radio inside, EKL S connector strips, and SDK F screwless terminals.

If you missed the show, everything above is in our product catalogue, or get in touch and we will walk you through it.
