Luxtron supplied the 230 V track systems for the Kohler booth at Dubai Design Week 2025. An exhibition stand is one of the clearest cases for track: it is built in days, it has to look finished on opening night, and every product on it needs its own light.
The booth itself was a warm, textured set of carved columns, draped fabric overhead and room-like vignettes, each built around Kohler fixtures. Above it ran black track with spotlights picking out the displays.
What we supplied
Our scope was the 230 V track systems. The booth sits in our project list under exhibitions, alongside the museum, retail and hospitality jobs where we supplied the track and its components. This piece is about that track, not the stand design.
Why track works on an exhibition stand
A design week stand has a short, intense life. The layout is often still moving when the electrician arrives, and pieces get swapped or nudged during build-up. Fixed downlights lock you into positions decided weeks earlier. Track does not.
- Re-aiming on site. Spots can slide along the track and turn to follow a product that moved half a metre during set-up.
- Fewer cable runs. One powered track feeds many fixtures, which keeps the overhead structure tidy on a stand where the ceiling is part of the look.
- Reuse. Track and fixtures come down cleanly after the show. That matters for brands that exhibit more than once a year.

Lighting texture and finish
Look at the carved columns and the wall panels in the photos. Surfaces like that come alive under directional light from a modest angle, because the relief throws its own shadows. Flood the same surface from straight on and the texture flattens out.
With a product brand like Kohler, the finishes on the products matter just as much: brushed metal, glazed ceramics, matt stone. Narrow spots aimed from the side or slightly behind bring out the material, while a broader beam keeps the walkway readable. Track makes it easy to mix the two on the same run.
Practical notes for stand builders
- Agree the track route with the stand structure early. On a stand, the track usually hangs from a frame or truss, not a slab.
- Count fixtures per circuit before build-up so the venue power allocation is not a surprise.
- Pick colour temperature once for the whole stand. Mixing warm and cool spots on wood and stone finishes shows up in every photograph.
- Leave a few spare spots in the box. Something always moves on the last night.
